Our February meeting has moved to Saturday, February 7, at 9:30 a.m. in the Armstrong Room (Atrium). Our speaker will be Leah Manningham from Girls of the World, joined by a few of the girls who will share their marketing skills.
Please bring used paperback books, used jewelry, or $25 gift certificates (any store or restaurant) to support Funfest and help fund the Women of Distinction Award.
New Adventure: On February 25, we’ll take a field trip to PACE in Tampa. We’ll carpool from the front atrium parking lot at 9:15 a.m., with an optional group lunch on the way back.
MARCH MEETING DATE CHANGED TO MARCH 26
Our March meeting will be held on March 26th at Gannon University at 3:30 p.m . We
will meet with Gannon students and staff and share info about AAUW and they will
share info on their programs, degrees, etc.! Our new educational team will chair this
meeting. After the talks we will be given a tour of the university buildings. We will finish
around 4:30.

There is no meeting on March 14th because it is Funfest.
In April, we return to our second Saturday of the month meeting in the Florida room of
the Atrium at 9:30 a.m.

We delved into technology discussions, breaking down stigmas surrounding women in tech. Our exploration covered cybercrime, AI, and other cutting-edge technologies, including Google Web Services. Women and girls must stay relevant and embrace technology to thrive in today’s digital world.


On Saturday, February 8th, we had the pleasure of hosting our monthly guest speaker, FBI Agent Mrs. Betsy Conley a discussion on common Senior Scams, Finance, and other Cyber Scams.” Betsy brought her experience to the Sun City Center.
