The American Association of University Women or AAUW is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization of
more than 170,000 people standing strong for gender equity. Since its first meeting in 1881, AAUW has
been a catalyst for change. AAUW members have examined and taken positions on the fundamental
issues of the day – educational, social, economic, and political.

Our mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research.
